What is a Senior Move Manager?

We are trained and certified professionals who assist older adults and their families with the emotional and physical aspects of relocation, downsizing and aging in place. Check our FAQ page for more information.

Who Are Our Customers?

Older adults who are downsizing a lifetime of treasured possessions and memories so they can move or make their living space safer and more peaceful as they age.

Adult children and family members who live out of town or have schedules that do not allow them to help their parent or family member during a transition. Our services provide peace of mind and are customized to help as little or as much as is needed.

Eva Dougherty

Eva Doughtery launched Smooth Transitions of Seattle LCC after she personally saw the emotional and physical challenges older neighbors and family members had during their own transitions including moves, downsizing and aging in place.  This experience inspired her to help older adults and their children going through the same life changes by providing personalized and compassionate move management and downsizing services.

Her services range from consulting, to helping with things they can't or don't want to do, to managing the entire move.  She also understands the priceless value of our belongings and has incorporated ways to preserve memories of items and family stories as a special service when requested.

A Seattle resident for more than 25 years, she spent 15 years working in managment in the high tech industry and is a recognized project management professional.  Eva is a graduate of the University of Washington, an active volunteer in her community and lives with her husband and three children in NE Seattle.
